Clark recently completed construction on the new 14,000 SF CARTI Cancer Center in El Dorado. The facility is CARTI’s fifth comprehensive cancer treatment center and provides medical oncology and PET imaging services to cancer patients of south Arkansas. Built in the former Office Depot, the center includes an infusion suite with 30 heated recliners and an on-site lab.

The facility also includes lobby, waiting area, offices, five exam rooms, nurse’s stations, pharmacy, and infusion center. The infusion center is designed with 29 patient pods which will help to create an organized workflow for patient treatment.

UAMS Energy Cost Saving Measures

Interior renovations for University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to implement energy savings measures that effectively touched over 35 buildings spread across five million square feet of UAMS’ campus. We completed the interior work while working collaboratively with multiple teams, including an engineering firm and additional contractor.

During the project, there were zero unplanned or unexpected outages at UAMS, allowing the major medical center to continue functioning smoothly even with ongoing construction.

CARTI Cancer Center

This new 26,000 SF cancer treatment facility’s planned services include medical and radiation oncology, an infusion suite, imaging, mammography services, and an on-site lab. Additional building facilities include linear accelerator vault, dosimetry, exam rooms, nurse’s stations, reception, waiting, hazardous mixing room with hood, nourishment room, offices, conference, break room, and all support spaces.

The CARTI Pine Bluff Cancer Center represents the fourth cancer center that CARTI has launched within the past two years and will aid in bringing the most advanced technologies and expertise to cancer patients in southeast Arkansas.

Arkansas Heart Hospital Encore

Arkansas Heart Hospital Encore is a five-level greenfield hospital. The new facility includes a Surgery Department with two cardiac hybrid operating rooms and two general operating rooms and a full Emergency Department with 12 exam rooms, two trauma rooms, and a decontamination room. Clark completed this project on a fast-track schedule with early packages.

The 110,235 SF facility includes lobby/waiting, day patient clinic, cath labs, PACU, imaging, MRI, CT, PET Scan, x-ray, 53 private patient rooms with bariatric patient rooms (patient lifts), and isolation rooms with custom headwalls and footwalls.

The hospital also features pre-op, nuclear room, lab, pharmacy, green roof with rooftop terrace and planters, Intensive Cardiac Rehab (ICR) Clinic and Physical Therapy Rehab. The new hospital was originally built with two shell floors, which Clark also finished out, allowing the total number of patient rooms to increase to 53. As the second location in the Arkansas Heart Hospital system, this project will provide increased access to healthcare services for the surrounding community.

UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute | Third, Sixth, and Seventh Floor Build-Out

This project involved a 56,763 SF finish-out of the third, sixth, and seventh floors at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, a Level One Trauma Center at UAMS. Construction was completed while the facility remained fully operational. The existing clean rooms and pharmacy remained in full operation during construction as well. Special care regarding vibration sensitivity and site contaminants was taken to account for immunocompromised patients located above and below construction. Most construction was done with modular walls (DIRTT).

The third floor is a new breast care center and includes MRI, CT, radiology, bone marrow biopsy, and anesthesia pain service. The sixth floor is a state-of-the-art infusion center with open and private infusion rooms and the seventh floor is home to multidisciplinary clinic space, physician offices, and exam rooms.

Premier Medical Plaza

Newmark Moses Tucker Partners has teamed with Premier Gastroenterology Associates to redevelop the vacant K-Mart store at 10901 Rodney Parham Road to create the “Premier Medical Plaza” that will add 100,000 SF of new space to the market.

The renovation will include a complete new look for the property both inside and out. The K-Mart store will not be recognizable once the exterior improvements to the building are complete. In addition, the center will have a new parking lot with extensive landscaping, a new entry off both Rodney Parham and Shackleford Roads and signage. It will transform not only this largely vacant center but also the neighborhood around it.

The facility’s name will recognize its owner and principal occupant, Premier Gastroenterology Associates of Arkansas, who will occupy approximately 45,000 SF of space in the building
